In My Youth (IMY) explores the yearning and imagination of childhood memory. As a child, I dreamt of becoming a princess or a ballerina, but was guided towards structured pursuits such as piano and Tae Kwon Do. Through constant journaling, I created fairytale worlds where discipline and fantasy intertwined - a Tae Kwon Do princess, and a ballerina who plays piano. These imagined identities became a form of escape in my youth, allowing my aspirations and realities to blur into a world entirely my own.
